Fig. 6.    Determination of the absolute molecular masses of oxidized and reduced rhGAL-1 in physiological solution. The absolute molecular sizes of oxidized and reduced rhGAL-1 were determined by a combination of size-exclusion HPLC and multiangle laser light scattering. Protein elution was monitored by measurement of refractive index. The peaks corresponding to oxidized and reduced rhGAL-1 were indicated by the arrows. The dots show the molecular mass at each elution volume. The molecular mass distribution was calculated by the mass method using the ASTRA program.
