CrossRef is pleased to announce two significant staff appointments.
Kirsty Meddings started with CrossRef on October 27th as Product Manager. In this role Kirsty will be leading CrossCheck, CrossRef's recently launched plagiarism detection service for scholarly publishers, in addition acting as product manager for CrossRef's other services. Kirsty joins CrossRef from Publishing Technologies (formerly Ingenta) where she was most recently Product Development Manager having originally started with CatchWord in 1998.
Carol Meyer will be joining CrossRef as Business Development and Marketing Manager on November 10th. In this role Carol will have overall responsibility for marketing and business development including member communications and developing new relationships. Carol joins CrossRef from Aries Systems where she is Product Manager for Preprint Manager. Prior to this Carol was an independent consultant working with many prestigious scholarly publishing clients and she also had positions with Silverplatter and ACM. Carol is also an active participant in the Society for Scholarly Publishers currently serving on the Board of Directors and the Publications and Research Committee.
