Librarians needed for eFocus group on CrossMark

CrossRef's CrossMark service will help researchers assess the creditability of scholarly articles and other content. The Scholarly Publishing Roundtable Report issued this year called for

...the clear identification and use of [Version of Record] VoR wherever and whenever feasible. The new "CrossMark" initiative announced by the CrossRef organization...provides such a mechanism for the VoR to be given an electronic watermark by the publisher so that the stewarded version is properly identified, tracked, and linked from the publisher's platforms to other sites also housing and providing access to the VoR.

We are conducting several eFocus groups for librarians to get reactions to CrossMark and to improve our prototype. These groups will be remotely held--you can participate from the convenience of your own computer. Two groups will be held in August: Wednesday August 11 and Wednesday August 25.

Find out more and register to attend. Remember, these groups are for librarians only.

If you are interested but are not eligible or these dates are not convenient for you, sign up for our CrossMark Information list to stay up to date on future developments, including future webinars and demos.
