Using a DOI to access content

If you have a DOI and you want to access the full-text content with which it's associated, you can either use the DOI Resolver provided by CrossRef or enter the DOI as a URL in your browser.

Using the DOI Resolver

  1. Go to http://www.crossref.org.
  2. Scroll to the DOI Resolver at the bottom of the home page.
  3. Paste in or type the DOI, for example: 10.1006/jmbi.1998.2354
  4. Click Submit.

Entering a URL in your browser

  1. Open a browser window.
  2. In the Address box, type http://dx.doi.org/ followed by the DOI, for example: http://dx.doi.org/10.1006/jmbi.1998.2354
  3. Press Enter.
