Lisa Hart Martin

Lisa Hart Martin is Crossref’s Director of Finance & Operations, and was one of the organization’s first employees (2000). She oversees Finance, Accounting, Administration, and HR for both the US and UK offices. She serves as Crossref Board Secretary, managing Governance and keeping up to date in international matters. Outside of Crossref, Lisa serves the community as a member of the Board of Directors of NESAE and ASAE’s Finance and Business Operations Council, Chairs SSP’s Audit Committee, and is a member of Orcid’s Audit Committee. Outside of Crossref she still enjoys advocating for children and young adults with disabilities, blending herbal teas and medicine, and spending time with family and pets.

2017 election slate

Slate of 2017 board candidates announced, and it’s going to be exciting Crossref is always evolving and the board knows it must evolve with us so we can continue to provide the right kind of services and support for you, as members of the research community. This year two things happened for the first time: we used our updated bylaws see article VII, section 2 agreed by the board last year, to allow more candidates than available seats; and secondly, to issue an open call for expressions of interest.

One member, one vote: Crossref Board Election opens today, September 30th

Watch for two important emails on September 30th – one with a voting link and material, and one with your username and password. RunningCrossref well is a key part of our mission. It’s important that we be as neutral and fair as possible, and we are always striving for that balance. One of our stated principles is “One member, one vote”. And each year we encourage each of our members-standing at over 6000 today-to participate in the election of new board members.
